Dee Dee started square dancing at the age of 3 and was clogging in an exhibition square dance team by the age of 6. She's been Calling/Teaching for 25 years, last 20 full-time & traveling. Square dancing has been her whole life. She also teaches and cues line dances any time she can.
She lives in Minneapolis, MN, from April to Nov. traveling throughout the summer on the road. For the winter months, she calls/teaches Beginner Basics -- Advanced in Mesa, AZ. She continues to fly out for weekend dances, festivals, & conventions.
Dee Dee has called at 22 National Conventions & has called in almost all 50 states including Hawaii. She has been featured caller at numerous Festivals, & Conventions in many states as well as Denmark, Japan, England, Sweden & Germany. She is on staff with All Star Festival (Las Vegas, NV), Spring Extravaganza (Indianapolis, IN), Fun Valley (South Fork, CO), Chula Vista Resort (Wis. Dells, WI), Queen City Ball (Charlotte, NC), Kansas City Ball (Kansas City, KS) & Daytona Beach (Daytona Beach, FL).
She’s a member of Callerlab, Minnesota Sq. Dance Callers Association (MSDCA), & National Teachers Association for Country Western Dance (NTA). She is BMI/ASCAP licensed & presently recording artist for RHYTHM RECORDS: “Sin Wagon” - “Take it Back” & “Feelin’ Kinda Lonely Tonight." She's also recorded on Chaparral Records: “Small World” & “Rockin’ in Rosalies Boat”, Global’s: “God Bless the USA”, foundation project. Her records, tapes & CD’s with mainstream & plus (all with yodeling!) are always available, along with Country Western line dance booklets.
Dee Dee's husband Bob Lottie plays a very important role in her career as booking agent, soundman, travel agent, & chauffeur. They usually host a special trip every year with square dancers that want to get away and join them for a fun time. Trips like a Caribbean Cruise / Jamaica / Hawaii & Vegas.
