When I was taking square dance lessons from Larry Johansen in 2004 I was fascinated by his equipment and calling. Larry's wife Pat suggested that I try calling. Larry lent me some equipment and records and encouraged me to practice calling. After I got the basics he let me call a tip at some of his dances. I have called at a number of clubs, also at some private parties. I taught at the Bethel College Youth Group in St. Francis. I have also called on some FSTM (Friendship Set To Music) shows.
